  • How can I get my library card?

    To apply for a Library Card you will need to visit the Library in person and bring with you:

  • Current Passport size photo (02).
  • Photocopy of University ID card (01).
  • Library membership form (Available on Library web Page), or collect it from the

circulation desk of Library. Fill the form and submit it at the circulation desk in the library.

 

  • How do I borrow books?

You can use the library circulation desk for the book borrowing.

  • Can a nonmember of HITEC University library borrow books?

A nonmember is not allowed to borrow books.

  • How can I know about the due date?

You can check your membership account on library software for this purpose.

You can also see the due date on the due date slip at the end of book.

  • Can someone else borrow books for any borrower?

No


Hold Requests:

  • How can I hold books?

You can send your hold request to library circulation desk manually or you can hold/reserve any book through you library membership account.

  • What is the time period of holding books?

Books can be hold or reserved only for 24 hours.


Returning Books:

  • It is necessary to show the  library card while returning the books?

Yes.

  • Can someone else return my books?

Yes

  • How much does the library charge of an overdue book?

  • What happens if I have lost or damaged an item I borrowed from the Library?

You can submit the same new copy of the book or you can pay according to following formula.
Cost of misplace or damaged book    =   Total cost of book (Present)   X   2

Fines:

  • How do I pay my library fines?
    You can pay any type of library fines to the Finance Department of HITEC University.
