Room Instruction HITEC University Hostel

Hostel students will ensure following:

  • 2x Bedsheets are issued to each student. Their beds should have bed sheets all the times, otherwise fine will be imposed on defaulters.
  • Will keep the room clean.
  • Will not change the layout of the room.
  • Will drop all sort of rubbish in dust bin.
  • Will keep their cupboards neat and clean.
  • Students will lock their rooms while leaving for classes/home or else where. Will use the locks issued to them by DSA Office.
  • In case, students misplace the lock keys (issued by DSA Office), they will purchase the new lock of same make and type and replace the previous one.
  • Students will not hand-over their room keys to a student who is not resident of that particular room.
  • Electric iron/music systems are not allowed in hostel and will be confiscated and fine of Rs. 1000/- will also be imposed, if found.
  • Students will use good quality locks on their almirahs.
  • Will remain vigilant against any theft and take care of their valuables.
  • Lights off timings that is 2355 hrs (midnight) will be observed strictly.
  • Will fall back (after leave / weekend) in HITEC University Hostel/campus latest by 2200 hrs.
  • Students will fill the in/out register (place at reception desk) while leaving the hostel for homes or any purpose / coming back to the hostel. Fine will be imposed on students who will not follow the in / out practice.
  • Fine will be imposed on defaulters (violating the room instructions) and against any damage/ breakage.
  • Student will not keep with them expensive items like expensive wrist watch, expensive cell phone etc.
  • SMOKING is prohibited any-where within the University campus, particularly in the hostel premises. A fine of Rs. 2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) will be imposed against the students found smoking and if cigarette buds are found in any hostel room, each occupant will be fined, Rs.4000/-

In a recent future leaders conference , Miss Zainab bukhari has been awarded as the Best Host and an Emerging future leader by Asad Omer. The event was held in Sarena Hotel Faislabad.

A workshop on importance of Bolted Joint Assembly for MED students was organized by SMEP HITEC Chapter on Thursday 01 December, 2016 in Nusrat Auditorium. Engr. M. Khurram Yousaf. Operation & HSE Engineer at Ma’Aref Technologies Pvt Ltd was the resource person.

The workshop contained many critical learning goals for the students including principles of joint reliability, basics of torque and tension, factors that affect the accuracy of load, the selection and proper use of gaskets, safe operation and handling of bolting tools and planning for safety and success. 

 

Hiking Trip to Trail 5 has been held on Saturday December 3 2016 arranged by DSA Department HITEC University.

Clean Green Drive at Khanpur Dam was held on Dec 1, 2016 by HITEC University.

 

 

Its a matter of great pride for HITEC University that Prof. Dr. Muhammad younus Javed, Dean faculty of Engineering and Technology has been awarded IEP National award 2016 by the Institute of Engineers Pakistan.

 

The research paper titled as "Parameter Estimation & Error Analysis Using Bootstrap Technique for Physical Activity Recognition "; written by Dr Hashim Ali & Professor Dr Muhammad Younus Javed and was presented by Dr Hashim Ali in the 3rd international conference on Emerging and Engineering Technologies held at Superior University, Lahore on 7-8 April, 2016. Out of 87 research papers, the paper was awarded as the best research paper. It is a great pride for the department of Computer Science and Engineering of HITEC University Taxila. 

 

Institute of Space Technology (IST) organized a mega event name “IST Youth Carnival’16” from March 30th – April 1, 2016. More than 50 universities from all over the country participated in the event and total participation was over 3980 students. The HITONIANS took part in almost all the events and fetched a place on victory stand by winning 34 positions in team and individual events in the field of sports, literary, science and arts competitions. HITEC University won 12 first positions, 10 second and 9 third positions, besides winning the award of the “Best University” due to maximum winnings in the carnival. They also won Cash prize of Rs. 30,000/- as well from IST as well.
