<p>The
Civil Engineering Department of <b>HITEC
University</b> organized a professional development session titled “Complex
Engineering Problems & Activities” on December 16, 2025, from 11:00 AM
to 12:30 PM in <b>Iqbal Auditorium</b>.
The session was delivered by <b>Prof. Dr. Imran
Hafeez</b> from the Civil Engineering Department at <b>University of Engineering and Technology (UET)
Taxila</b>, who is also a Senior Program Evaluator of <b>Pakistan Engineering Council</b> (PEC). The
speaker provided comprehensive guidance on the identification, design, and
assessment of Complex Engineering Problems (CEPs) and Complex Engineering
Activities (CEAs) within the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework,
highlighting their significance for accreditation compliance and academic
quality assurance. The session focused on practical approaches for developing
assessment rubrics, CLO–PLO alignment, attainment measurement, and
documentation requirements, supported by relevant examples from engineering
education. Faculty members actively participated in discussions and gained
valuable insights into strengthening teaching and assessment practices,
reflecting the department’s commitment to continuous quality improvement and
excellence in engineering education.</p>
