<p>The
Civil Engineering Department of HITEC
University organized a professional development session titled “Design
and Assessment of CLOs & Attainment of SDGs” on November 19, 2025, at
11:00 AM in Iqbal Auditorium. The
session was delivered by Prof. Dr. Majid Ali,
Head of the Civil Engineering Department at Capital
University of Science and Technology (CUST), Islamabad, and Senior
Program Evaluator of Pakistan Engineering
Council (PEC). The speaker shared valuable insights into the
effective design and assessment of Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) within the
Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework and emphasized the integration of
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into engineering curricula to promote
responsible and sustainable engineering practices. The session highlighted
strategies for CLO–PLO alignment, attainment measurement, assessment tools, and
documentation required for accreditation compliance. Faculty members actively
participated in discussions and gained practical knowledge on incorporating
sustainability concepts into teaching and assessment processes, reflecting the
department’s commitment to academic excellence, continuous quality improvement,
and alignment with global educational and sustainability standards.</p>
