Climate Action sessions

Lecturer Sehrish Naqvi conducted Climate Action sessions for EE and NCEAC students at HITEC University as a Climate Action Ambassador for the “Writing Our Future, Together” initiative by Take Action Global (TAG). This global classroom project encourages students to reflect on their relationship with the planet, express their ideas through creative storytelling, and commit to sustainability through a Pledge for the Planet. Through collaboration between TAG and Evolution, the initiative has been launched in Pakistan to promote climate literacy via English language learning and environmental storytelling.

During the Nature Speaks session, students worked in groups to write narratives from the perspective of elements of nature, with one member from each group presenting and reflecting on key messages. Students then created and signed a class pledge, later uploaded to the Climate Action Project platform, demonstrating their commitment to protecting nature. The lesson concluded with reflection activities, a follow-up group video task showcasing positive environmental actions, and the distribution of participation certificates, successfully blending creativity, communication, and environmental awareness.
