Highlights from Our Research Presentation at 26th INMIC 2024 held at SHU, Karachi. It is with great pleasure that we announce the publication of research paper, “Finite Element Analysis of Bioresorbable LAE442 Magnesium Alloy Intramedullary Nail for Internal Femoral Fracture Fixation,” at the 26th International Multi-Topic Conference (INMIC 2024) held at Salim Habib University, Karachi, Pakistan, under the flagship of the IEEE Karachi Section. This premier annual event in Pakistan features multiple tracks, workshops, and opportunities for publication in recognized journals.
The full-length research paper, authored by Muhammad Taha Bin Athar, Hafsah Sohail, and Syeda Shifa Mannan Gilani, under the kind guidance and supervision of Engr. Zainab Ali, Lecturer, Biomedical Engineering Department, HITEC University was presented and accepted for the publication in the IEEE proceedings after months of hard work, drafting, and revisions. The co-authors traveled 1,415.9 km to Karachi to participate in INMIC 2024, making this research journey a memorable one.
The student authors sincerely pay their special regards to Engr. Zainab Ali for her invaluable guidance and support throughout the process and to the kind administration of HITEC University for facilitating research funds. Special gratitude for the SHU (Host University) administration, faculty and student body specially Engr. Syed Saim Gardezi, Co-founder of Bazm-e-BME for their hospitality in Karachi. Presenting our work to a vibrant community highlights the importance of research in driving progress. We are proud to contribute to the growing research ecosystem and look forward to continued success in advancing biomedical engineering at HITEC University, Taxila.
Congratulations to the team, and best wishes to all future researchers!

It is with great pleasure that we announce the publication of the Biomedical Engineering Department's first research paper, titled Exploring the Cognitive Impact of Optical Illusions on EEG Signals.
Research Track: Biomedical Signal processing, authored by three final year students of BS in Biomedical EngineeringSarah Lodhi, Infal Rizwan and Areej Fatima under the kind guidance and supervision of Lecturer Engr. Zainab Ali. This research idea won the best poster award in the BME poster competition held at departmental level in January 2024. Full length research paper was accepted for publication by ICET in August 2024 and the team presented the 19th International Conference on Emerging Technologies (ICET) at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of engineering science and technology (GIKI), Topi Swabi KPK on November 19 & 20, 2024.
A forementioned paper will soon be published in IEEE Xplore.
Congratulations to the authors, and we wish continued success to our Biomedical Engineering students.
