Electrical Engineering Success Stories
Celebrating the remarkable achievements of our alumni who have excelled in their careers and made significant contributions to their fields.
Abdullah Shoukat
I am Abdullah Shoukat, a graduate of the Electrical Engineering Department of HITEC University. I am a faculty member at COMSATS University Islamabad (Wah Campus) and am currently pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology (USTC) China on a prestigious scholarship. In addition to this prestigious opportunity i also got a very competitive fully funded PhD scholarship at Edinburgh Napier University, Scotland, UK.
HITEC University's Electrical Engineering department provides a robust platform for students to excel in their fields. I praise the department's solid academic focus, experienced faculty, research guidance, and industrial collaborations. In fact, it was due to my days at HITEC University that I could secure the PhD position with the guidance of my respected supervisor Dr. Muhammad Ali Mughal. I am still in contact with Dr. Muhammad Ali Mughal, and am getting his valuable guidance on my PhD research.

Sohaib Ahmad

After graduation, I worked as a research assistant (RA) with Doctor Kashif Imdad for 6 months at HITEC University. During I chose Ireland for one-year master's program in energy management.
After my graduation, I got a job offer as a Junior Electrical Engineer, worked there for 3 months gained good Irish industry experience, and then switched my job to join the world's leading design and engineering consultancy firm Jacobs as a Graduate Electrical Engineer which was a 2 years program. Finished it in the year 2023, and got promoted to Electrical Engineer. Still in the same company working on this role and working on the Pharmaceutical project.
My connection to university is unbreakable, I was and I am still in contact with my professors which I don’t think everyone could do once they finish their courses. However, I think it is very important to have a connection with your professors and university as it gave me a lot of knowledge and insightful information during my master's course and while selecting my dissertation topic.
The only advice I want to give is to never give up, and never lose hope. Allah has a better plan for you and don’t let down yourself. Never be afraid of asking questions, there is nothing called a silly question. Always ask questions and clear your confusions. Always debate and try to clear your confusion before assuming anything. It's an important advice for studies and life as well. Don’t be judgmental about anything without knowing it completely, every day is a school day so learn and practice it.
There is a special quote, I really want to mention here is;''The success you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding''.
So, keep your thoughts and intent clear and do hard work. You will get and be there where you want.
Zeeshan Yasin
I joined HITEC in 2011 after completing my A Levels and opted for Electrical Engineering. After passing out in 2015, I entered the world of professionalism.
I began as a Management Business Associate at PTCL before transitioning to Attock Refinery Limited as a Management Trainee. Afterward, I joined Atlas Engineering and Controls as an Assistant Manager (North Division), gaining extensive experience in equipment handling and refining managerial, communication, and technical skills. Despite a layoff due to COVID-19, I persevered and found a new opportunity at Novel, a US-based renewable energy organization. I feel blessed to not only have made friends but made such a valuable connection with the faculty which I always cherish. My inspiration has always been a trust that I have put in; in myself that there is always light ahead of the dark only if you wish to see it. Believe in yourself! Never compare yourself to anyone and always try to be supportive, helpful to others. Because whatever you spread, will make its way back to you! Be honest and find your path!
