Yes, as per PEC regulation No PEC/EAD/46-VCCM/Regulations/2003 dated 30 March 2023, candidates having combination of Physics, Mathematics and Computer Studies / Computer Science (ICS) or equivalent are eligible to apply for all the Engineering programs offered by HITEC University, but they have to clear Chemistry as a remedial subject / course in the 1st Semester after admission.

Candidates, who already appeared in any NET series during current admission cycle, will also be able to update their choice preferences while applying for Series-4 or after the announcement of merit, before start of the selection process.

The graduates of BS Mechanical Engineering of HITEC university are considered equalent to the students graduated from any top university of the world which is on the charter of Washington Accord also many of the graduates have acquired the 476 skilled visa.
Yes, every year many final year projects (FYPs) are financed by different financing agencies and university itself, a big show of all FYPs is arranged every year as OPEN HOUSE where industrial representatives visit to find the projects of their interest and then finance them. Many FYPs are financed by IGNITE.
The Department offers undergraduate and graduate programs.

The initial two years (four semesters) of the undergraduate program are same for all students; however, from fifth semester and onwards, elective courses are offered to make provision for the four major streams i.e.

Yes! ICS students can apply for all programs, including engineering programs engineering programs HSSC (ICS i.e mathematics, physics and computer studies/science/IT) with 60% or above marks each in mathematics, physics & overall.
A person who has been enrolled for a relevant bachelor’s degree program in engineering at some accredited (PEC, HEC) institution and has earned 15 or more transferable credits with minimum cgpa of 2.5 on the scale of 4, may apply to this institute for admission with advance standing. Acceptance of request for transfer will depend on availability of seat, and the quality of academic work already done by the applicant. Admission Criteria for BS Biomedical Engineering is as follows:

Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) / A Level or equivalent with Biology/Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry with minimum 60% marks or

Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) / A Level or equivalent with & Physics, Mathematics, Computer Studies/Computer Science with minimum 60 % marks. (Chemistry to be considered as remedial subject and shall be offered in first semester after admission.) or

Diploma of Associate Engineers in relevant discipline (As per PEC criteria) with minimum 60% marks.

You can apply against any additional category which you are eligible for during initial submission of online Form, latest by due date.

Note: Eligibility for admission under each category is as described in Chapter-5 of the University Prospectus (Soft copy is available at NED University website).

No, there is NO extra fee for applying in additional category(ies).
For admission in category for those having disability (excluding the disability of deadness, dumbness and blindness) and passed HSC (Pre-Engineering/Computer Science) part I and II (as the case may be), from any Board of Intermediate of Education situated in province of Sindh and having certificate of disability from Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD), Government of Sindh. Further the candidate is required to appear before the Medical Board at the University
50% marks are required to qualify and become eligible for admission.
Yes, provided that you have scored at least 800 in SAT-I and 1500 in SAT-II with subjects of Physics, Chemistry/Computer Science and Mathematics/Biology. Candidate must have to submit an application for the exemption to the Chairman Admission Committee.
Self-Finance fee has to be paid along with Application Fee in the same bank at the time of submission of Application Form latest by the due date. For any updates please refer website.
You will not be admitted unless the admission fee is paid on the day of interview/admission. The admission fee may in the form of cash or pay order/demand draft in favorof Director Finance, NEDUET.

Mathematics Department offers BS Program with Specialization in A.I, MS & PhD Programs.
