Chairman Board of Governors
I am highly satisfied with the progress made by the HITEC University as a reputed higher education institution since its establishment a decade ago. The University has earned a high repute and a distinguished place among the contemporary institutions for which the faculty members and administration deserve special appreciation and felicitations.
It is a matter of great pleasure that the University is effectively and efficiently contributing in the national efforts to prepare scientists and engineers at par with the renowned world institutions. The acceptance of our engineering graduate degrees worldwide under the umbrella of Washington Accord is a great achievement. The University has shifted its academic programs to Outcome Based Education System. The accreditation of Computer Science program in category 'W' also reflects its high quality standards.
I am very pleased to note that the academic and research collaborations of the University with top ranking universities of UK, Turkey and Malaysia are progressing well. Our undergraduate and graduate students are fully benefitting from the agreements of mutual collaborations by completing part of their education in world leading universities. I hope that our faculty and students will also take full advantage from Asia Technological University Network (ATU-Net) to conduct collaborative research. HITEC University is a founding member of ATU-NET sponsored by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
The Board of Governors is committed to continuously improving the infrastructure requirements of the University and learning environment. The construction of multi-storey cafeteria has already commenced to cater for the dining needs of the student population. Approval for the construction of High Voltage Lab for Electrical Engineering Department has also been granted. We also have plans to increase the number of students by the addition of more engineering disciplines.
I pray to Allah Almighty for granting even greater success to HITEC University in its noble mission.
