A night to remember-HITONIAN's Second Homecoming'24

HITEC University arranged Alumni Homecoming on 21-Dec-2024. The event was a resounding success in providing an excellent opportunity for alumni to reconnect and reminisce their old memories. The event was filled with heartwarming moments as graduates shared their experiences and expressed gratitude to their mentors. Alumni from all corners came to connect with their alma mater.
The Director of Student Affairs-Mr M. Talha Asghar warmly welcomed the HITONIANS back to HITEC. He celebrated the success of the alumni and shared the major achievements of 2024 with the alumni community, including the Recruitment Drive and HITEC's impressive runner-up positions in the HEC cricket and basketball matches.

Vice Chancellor-Prof. Dr. S. Kamran Afaq emphasized the significance of connectivity among alumni in creating an active and supportive community. He highlighted the importance of this community in facilitating professional growth for recent graduates through scholarships, job opportunities, and internships. Furthermore, he announced the establishment of HITEC HOPE, an academy that will offer courses on technological advancements to alumni at discounted rates.

The President of the Alumni Association-Mr. Yasir Hamid, announced the launch of the alumni portal. He discussed the impact of AI trends on the job market and the need for continuous learning and growth in the face of technological advancements. Additionally, he introduced the team of HITEC Association members who will work towards bridging the gap between the alumni community and the university.
Vice President-Mr. Ammar Akram announced various upcoming discount programs for alumni. He also shared plans to link alumni for the betterment of the alumni community, generating multiple opportunities for recent graduates.

Several alumni shared their HITEC journey with the audience, including Engr. Dr. Syed Sajid Raza Zaidi, Assistant Professor and Head of Department at NUTECH, and Engr. Dr. Abdul Ahad, Assistant Professor at Air University. While sharing their educational experiences, they acknowledged the guidance and support of their faculty members, which extended beyond academic exposure to professional endeavors.
The senior alumni stressed the importance of community connectivity in generating scholarships and other opportunities for recent graduates.
