Address of Vice Chancellor to Students of HITEC University

Our Vice Chancellor, alongside university management, addressed students with a historic announcement: the first-ever university-wide recruitment drive! Companies from diverse sectors will grace our campus, offering job and internship opportunities across all departments. Emphasizing the importance of alumni relations, our VC shed light on the workings of our placement office and highlighted various scholarship opportunities, with nearly Rs. 15 million awarded in Fall 2023. In a nod to student well-being, a full-time psychologist is now available to address student concerns. Empowering Tomorrow's Leader

Recently, a training session was conducted approved by the Higher Education Commission, focusing on recognizing signs of drug abuse. The training session delved into crucial insights on identifying drug abuse symptoms. Led by psychologist Miss Hafsah Azad, faculty members from diverse departments at HITEC University participated, including Mechanical, Electrical, BioMedical, Computer, Software, and Civil Engineering, alongside Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Islamic Studies, Cyber Security, and Artificial Intelligence. Together, we aim to better identify and support those in need, contributing to a healthier and more supportive community.

Disaster Managament Solutions

A lecture on community service was organized by the Directorate of Student Affairs. Students from Departments of Mechanical, Civil, and BioMedical Engineering, along with Management Sciences, Mathematics and Islamic Studies participated in this lecture given by Manager Admin in different sessions. This lecture highlighted the disaster management solutions, specifically related to fires and use of fire extinguishers in different scenarios. HITEC University focuses not only on teaching required skills, but also emphasizes on becoming good human beings and helpful hands for society.

Amidst a rigorous electoral process, our newly elected seat bearers solemnly pledged their dedication in a ceremony graced by esteemed Chief Guest, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Kamran Afaq. Under the guidance of Muhammad Talha Asghar, Director of Student Affairs, the oath-taking ceremony set a resolute tone for the future. In the preceding month alone, the Association has catalyzed growth by providing 25 alumni with internship and job opportunities, epitomizing the profound impact of our vibrant community.

Megabyte winner of SOFTEC

Team Megabyte - Pakistan's first Internationally Recognized robot has participated at Fast University Lahore on there flagship event SOFTEC where Robots from all over the Pakistan participated, Team Megabyte represented HITEC UNIVERSITY there and secured first prize in ROBO RUMBLE. Team Consist of 6 students from Electrical, Mechanical and Computer Engineering departments.

Science Society HITEC University Participated in STEM UET Lahore

Science Society HITEC University Participated in STEM event at UET Lahore. Final Year Students from the Electrical Engineering department, participated in the All Pakistan Project Exhibition held on February 13th, 2024 in University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, where they presented a project named Sensor Based Temperature Control System. HITEC University encourages students to actively participates in national events.

Winner of Regional Inter-University Bilingual Declamation Competition 2023

Ms. Minahil Hijab from HITEC University won the Regional Inter-University Bilingual Declamation Competition 2023 hosted by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. This event was in commemoration of the Golden Jubilee of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, as advised by the honourable Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan, Mr. Raja Pervez Ashraf. For ICT round, students from Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Taxila, AJK and Gilgit Baltistan participated in the competition held at HEC Secretariat Islamabad. The aim of this competition is to encourage young people across the country to engage with the Constitution and to reflect on its importance. The theme of the Declamation Competition is “My Constitution-Guarantee of My Freedoms” in English language and “Mera Aien – Meri Azadiyon ki Zamanat” in Urdu language. </p>

<p>ICT regional round in Islamabad was graced by Senator Mr. Farhatullah Babar and Member National Assembly Ms. Mehnaz Akber Aziz. Adviser (Academics, Curriculum & NAHE) HEC, Engr. Muhammad Raza Chohan, Adviser (Global Engagement) HEC, Mr. Awais Ahmad and a large number of students attended the event. The panel of judges included Dr. Muhammad Ahmad Munir from International Islamic University, Dr. Humaira Aslam from University of Peshawar, Dr. Fehmeeda Tabassum from Federal Urdu University and Mr. Muhammad Arslan from PTV World. After a rigorous evaluation process in the ICT regional round of Inter-University Bilingual Declamation Competition 2023, Minahil Hijab, HITEC University secured the first position, Muhammad Munib Asghar, Institute of Space Technology won the second position and Gul Rukh, University of Wah won the third position.
