HITEC University is thrilled to announce that we will be hosting the HEC Intervarsity Table Tennis Championship for Zone E, starting from November 6, 2024! Universities from across the region will compete in this dynamic and fast-paced tournament, showcasing some of the finest student talent.

HITEC University Gears Up for HEC Zone E Table Tennis Championship with Manager's Meeting and Draws

In preparation for the upcoming HEC Zone E Table Tennis Championship, HITEC University hosted a manager’s meeting today, bringing together Directors of Sports from 10 universities across Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Taxila, and Kashmir. The championship is set to begin on November 6, 2024, with both singles and doubles categories contested by some of the best university players in the region.

During the meeting, event details and logistics were discussed, ensuring a smooth and well-coordinated tournament. Draws for both singles and doubles events were conducted, adding an air of excitement as each team received their match placements.

The championship promises to be a showcase of athletic skill, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit. We look forward to seeing these talented players in action and welcome the support of the university community in making this event a success.

HITEC University is proud to host the Higher Education Commission's (HEC) Intervarsity Cricket Championship for Zone E, in collaboration with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). This prestigious event features participation from 14 universities across the region, divided into three pools:

• Pool A: HITEC University Taxila, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), University of AJK Muzaffarabad, University of Kotli AJK
• Pool B: Air University, National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Capital University of Science & Technology (CUST), PMAS Arid Agriculture University, National University of Technology (NUTECH)
• Pool C: COMSATS University Islamabad, Health Services Academy, University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Taxila, National Skills University Islamabad, Institute of Space Technology (IST)

The event kicks off on October 21, 2024, with the final match scheduled for November 2, 2024, at HITEC University. Matches will also take place at COMSATS University Islamabad and International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI). We extend our heartfelt thanks to ,b>Mr. Mushtaq Ahmed, Director Sports at COMSATS, and Mr. Khalid Chaudhary from IIUI, for their generous support in providing grounds.

We also express our deep appreciation to Mr. Javed Ali Memon, Director Sports HEC, for entrusting HITEC University with the honor of hosting this event. His unwavering dedication to promoting sports across universities is commendable, and his efforts have been pivotal in fostering a strong sports culture in higher education institutions.

A thrilling match organized by the Directorate of Student Affairs brought together the Faculty of Sciences and Faculty of Engineering in an intense futsal showdown! Congratulations to the Faculty of Sciences for their 3-1 victory!
Kudos to both teams for their passion and effort on the field! A special thanks to the mentors for their support and guidance.

IIUI Claims Victory in Thrilling HEC Intervarsity Cricket Championship Final at HITEC University

The HEC Intervarsity Cricket Championship for Zone E, hosted by HITEC University in collaboration with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), concluded with an exciting final match between NUML University and International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI)

After winning the toss, NUML elected to bowl first. IIUI set a formidable target of 143 runs in a well-played innings. Despite a determined chase, NUML was bowled out for 104 runs, securing IIUI’s victory as the Zone E champions. Mr. Ehtisham ul Haq from IIUI was declared the Man of the Match for his exceptional performance.

HITEC University is proud to have hosted this prestigious event, which brought together 14 universities from across the region. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to IIUI and commend all participating teams for their sportsmanship and skill. Special thanks to Mr. Javed Ali Memon, Director Sports HEC, for his invaluable support in making this championship a success.

An exciting Interdepartmental Futsal Tournament took place at HITEC University, featuring spirited participation from various departments. Teams representing Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, BioMedical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, and Civil Engineering showcased their athletic prowess in a friendly yet competitive environment. The tournament provided a platform for students across diverse disciplines to come together and celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship.

Computer Science and Management Sciences. After a hard-fought battle, Management Sciences emerged victorious, claiming the coveted title for this year. The final not only showcased the skills and teamwork of the participants but also fostered a sense of camaraderie among the different departments. Congratulations to the Management Sciences team for their outstanding performance and to all the participating departments for making the Interdepartmental Futsal Tournament a memorable event.
